Consignment Policy
Getting started
Marketplace LLC may accept approved goods for sale on consignment. The person or business supplying the goods is their owner (the consignor). Contact us with an item list, photos and condition details. Do not deliver or ship goods until we confirm acceptance and receiving instructions.
Commission, storage and handling
Our commission is 15% when the goods remain stored at the owner's warehouse.
Our commission is 20% when Marketplace LLC stores and handles the goods.
The difference between these rates is storage and handling. The goods' owner is responsible for all shipping fees in BOTH arrangements. Shipping is separate from the commission and is not included in the 20% rate. Any additional charges must be agreed in writing before they are incurred.
Written agreement
Before goods are offered for sale, both parties must sign a consignment agreement identifying the inventory, services, sale method and approximate dates, any reserve or asking price, applicable commission and its calculation, expenses, insurance responsibilities and payout terms. Required disclosures will be included. Changes must be agreed in writing. This overview does not replace the signed agreement or legal rights.
Ownership and condition
You must own the goods or have documented authority to sell them. Disclose liens, restrictions, defects, missing parts, repairs and uncertainty about authenticity or condition. Marketplace LLC may decline unsafe, counterfeit, recalled or otherwise unsuitable goods. Remove personal data and account locks from electronics before delivery and identify included accessories and serial numbers.
Preparing and selling goods
Inspection, testing, photographs, descriptions, lot grouping and sale dates follow the agreed services. Reserve or price changes require the authorization stated in your agreement. Estimates do not guarantee a value, sale price or completed sale. Owners must not bid on their own goods or arrange bids intended to inflate the price.
Settlement and payment
A settlement statement will identify sale proceeds, commission, shipping fees and other agreed deductions, and the net amount payable. Payment timing and method follow the signed agreement and applicable law. Buyer nonpayment, authorized refunds or disputed payments will be communicated and handled under those terms.
Delivery and insurance
The agreement identifies shipping arrangements, insurance coverage and responsibility for loss or damage in transit and custody. Keep inventory and delivery records.
Unsold goods and questions
Withdrawal, relisting, collection deadlines and any agreed charges follow the signed agreement. Contact us before withdrawing listed goods. Uncollected goods are handled under the agreement and applicable law; this page does not authorize automatic forfeiture. For assistance, contact Marketplace LLC through the website footer with your consignment reference.
